Zoé _ Digital Edition | Première February 24th 2021
February 24th 2021 – h 21.15
Teatro Rossini,Pesaro
This “digital edition” of Zoé was born from the necessary artistic and human confrontation with the fallout from the pandemic from Covid 19 and the influence this had on the research conducted with the Genealogia project.
While in Genealogia_Time Specifc the challenge was with the absence of contact, with this edition of Zoé we experiment the absence of a physical audience, rethinking the show for a look “not live” but mediated by the eye of the camera.
Zoé it is the construction of a space in which a small community of bodies is brought back to the zero degree of life .A space for ‘reflection’ on the body and on existence that in its nakedness offers itself to the human, animal, depersonalized, headless gaze. What is the ‘reflection’ if not also a projection of the observer on the body that expresses himself? The choreography is a writing of bodies and on bodies which in this case becomes a declination of the forms and meanings of their bare life, a theme that collective memory and today’s consciences are called upon to interpret. Questions of a political, social and cultural nature emerge strictly linked to the theme of the contemporary body, to which the process does not have the task of responding. Art must instead touch and disturb.
Zoé is a show that was born within the Genealogy project, the process of building an alphabet of signs that can become a choreographic language. A research with an installation approach to which is added the relation of a community, a group that becomes expression and place, a landscape in transformation and migration. Continuing her research on a body that lies in the condition of nakedness, Luna brings out its metaphysical, animal and social potential.
