Freely inspired by the historical and revolutionary figure of Isadora Duncan and her famous Manifesto ‘The dancer of the future’ published in 1928.

“The movement of the universe concentrating in an individual becomes what is termed the will; […] The dance should simply be, then,
the natural gravitation of this will of the individual , which in the end is no more nor less than a human translation of the gravitation of the
universe.” Isadora Duncan

In ‘Natural Gravitation’ Luna Cenere quotes and reinterprets Duncan’s message in a dance act with a free and natural cyclical form. As Duncan herself wrote, a pure expression of movement can only be sought through the movement of naked body, whose movements are ‘a consequence of the entire evolution that the human being has gone through’. From tribal dances to iconic poses of ancient Greece up to what is inscribed in a contemporary body. Natural Gravitation is the free dance energy of a single woman, able to represent all women, the harmony between human and nature, intelligence, spirituality, strength and the most internal determination that gravitates in harmony with the universe.
