Zoé is the construction of a space in which a small community is brought back to the zero degree of life. A space of ‘reflection’ on the body and on existence which in its nudity offers itself to the gaze: human, animal, depersonalized, headless. Bodies make space, architecture and landscape in constant transformation. The proximity, the suspension, the relationship, the beauty and delicacy of the gestures are the praise of slowness, a light and shared time that allows the viewer to grasp the details of the gesture, the breath of the bodies and its propagation in space without ever lose the perception of a unicum in constant evolution. The choreographic gesture becomes an affirmation of existence and finds its place of maximum expression in performing art. The choreography is a writing on bodies and of the bodies, which becomes a declination of the forms and meanings of their nude life. Collective memory and today’s consciences are called to interpret the signs, Zoé lets emerge and reveals political, social and cultural questions related to the contemporary body, which seek no answer but intimate exploration.
