The title of the project ‘W / \ M’ is made up of graphic signs and letters which, like mirror elements, enter into a relationship. This relationship is visually and choreographically translated into an architectural investigation of bodies, in their overturning, in spatial interaction and becomes a ‘grammatical’ operation declined in dramaturgical writing. Only two pairs of shoes dress the bodies of the performers, becoming a further subject of the scene. An architectural investigation of the body that shows the potential and creative sensitivity of nudity. This research emerged during the Genealogia research project, a project undertaken in 2019 within which were created the shows Genealogia_Time specific, staged at the Oriente Occidente 2020 Festival and Zoé presented in digital edition in the AmatoTeatro programming and selected by the NID Platform 2021.

Inspired by the surrealist current and by the images of authors such as Ren Hang, Eveline Bencicova and the photographer Adey Luna Cenere, she continues her research on the themes of the body, posture and gesture. By creating landscapes made of bodies that subtend hidden meanings, scores that reveal the symbolic and not only anthropomorphic nature of our being body.

Director’s notes
“In my work I prefer a slow tempo, a quality of an adagio for the construction of physical architectures, and I take great care of the details of the gesture. The gesture always comes from a deep listening to the physical condition, from the breath and posture that one lives in that moment. A research that is based on the practice of being and the creation of a link between the beginning and the end of each movement that I would define intimate. I mean the choreographic score as a journey through space during which transformations take place. It is not allowed to go back. but there is room for repetition which in this sense becomes an action that leads to transformation. In this work I feel I have pushed myself beyond myself, it is no coincidence that this is the first time I conduct without being on stage.

The relationship between the sound aspect and the choreographic gesture is also one of the points of investigation of my research. I prefer sound carpets that are not descriptive but able to enter into symbiosis with the scenic action. It is necessary that they provoke a state of mind in support of the action, even if they are completely abstract sound elements. The volume and low frequencies allow me to immerse both the performer and the viewer in a vibrant space of sound, to give both a tactile experience. “
